Tom N. Bass, EA
Before Tom was a tax advisor, he worked in his family’s retail business which began shortly after graduating from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance (with an emphasis on Accounting and Political Science).
For twenty years, his family’s home furnishings business grew from a single store retail operation into a large multi-store regional chain. He also opened a series of delicatessens in Houston – Galveston during that time, followed by a group of computer furniture outlets in Dallas, Fort Worth, and Austin.
Currently, he serves as a tax advisor to small and home-based business owners to help them minimize their taxes and keep more of what they make. He is an Enrolled Agent, licensed by the Federal Government in all fifty states to represent taxpayers before all administrative levels of the Internal Revenue Service.
His entrepreneurial spirit and decades of experience owning and managing businesses bring a unique perspective to the accounting practice he started in 1990 with his then partner, Rhonda Johnson. Together they built their practice to focus on being a year-round tax advisor for their clients. This includes regular contact for setting goals, reviewing performance, and making adjustments. They believe, through proper planning, you can control your taxes.

I hope you’ll forgive me for being blunt.
I am Tom Bass. I’m a Enrolled Agent and realize that you may not be used to seeing a tax advisor talk like this. It’s not my intention to offend (I’m actually being very careful with my words – I am a tax professional, after all).
But I think you’ll agree that the times we’re currently facing require a little straight talk.
Here’s a certain truth: The State and Federal Government would love to have more of your hard-earned money in their accounts. Sure, even though it’s painful, none of us begrudge paying our legal and fair share of taxes. But the problem is that regular taxpayers, like you, are missing out on legal and safe deductions to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars in unclaimed refunds every year!
As a tax advisor, it truly breaks my heart knowing that just a few thousand or even a few hundred bucks for us “regular guys” out of that vast pool of overcharging could make a world of difference – and they are just sitting there, unclaimed!
